Fractional web development & design

The web person your marketing team leans on.

I build, run, and grow B2B marketing websites — development, design, analytics, and SEO — embedded in your team, without the cost of a full-time hire.

The 60% is a team result (organic + paid) from a year I owned the site's technical SEO and structure — I'll gladly walk through exactly what was mine.

What I do

One senior person for the whole marketing-web stack.

A full-time hire is expensive, agencies are costly and disconnected, and a junior can’t span development, design, and marketing. I can.

i

Development

WordPress & HubSpot builds, codebase ownership, landing-page systems, integrations — shipped safely with code review and CI.

ii

Design

UI and marketing graphics in Figma; brand-consistent components and design systems, wireframe to production.

iii

Analytics

GA4 and Data Studio dashboards that turn messy data into decisions your team actually uses.

iv

Growth

Technical SEO, landing-page and conversion optimization, and A/B testing that moves inbound and paid.

v

The reliable “can we…?”

The person who fixes what breaks and ships small requests without a two-week agency turnaround.

vi

Embedded, not outsourced

I work inside your team’s tools and rhythm — like a colleague, not a vendor.

Proof

Eight years running EventMobi’s marketing web presence.

It's to quantify the ups and downs of such a long tenure, spanning multiple marketing team leaders, redesigns, new products, and a lot of change. But in the last year-ish, here are some of the things I contributed to as an embedded marketing web developer-designer:

60%
YoY growth in inbound revenue & pipeline — during a year I was deep in the site’s technical SEO and page structure, the organic foundation that growth ran on. A team result, organic + paid.
80%
YoY paid-search revenue growth (and a 56% ROAS gain) in the same period — a team effort with an outside PPC agency, running on site and landing-page infrastructure I built and maintain.
Hours
Saved for the team each week — custom Data Studio & GA4 reporting I built end-to-end, replacing manual pulls.
Zero
Downtime deploys on a site many people publish to — via the PR code review and GitHub Actions CI workflow I put in place.

These are team results — the paid program runs with an outside agency — and my lane was the web: technical SEO, landing-page systems, analytics, and the codebase. I’m glad to walk through exactly what was mine.

Why me

A developer who designs, and a designer who ships.

i

Two hires in one. Senior development and senior design from one person — no double briefing, no agency markup.

ii

Twenty-five years across frontend, UI/UX, and design systems — I taught Atomic Design & Pattern Libraries at General Assembly.

iii

Marketing-fluent. I speak MQLs, funnels, and ROAS — not just code — so the work ladders to revenue.

iv

AI-forward. A modern workflow (Cursor, Claude Code) means your retainer hours go further.

v

Remote-native and comfortable across cultures and time zones. Based in Brantford, Ontario.

vi

Easy to work with. Nearly a decade with one team says how I show up.

Straightforward terms — Care is month-to-month; Embedded starts with a three-month engagement, then rolls monthly with 30 days’ notice · 30-day fit promise: if either of us isn’t feeling it in the first month, we part immediately and cleanly — you keep everything I’ve built · one active priority at a time · async by default

For scale: Embedded costs roughly a third of one loaded full-time senior salary — and covers two disciplines.

Questions

The things people ask.

What does “one active priority at a time” mean?
You keep a queue of requests; I work them one at a time, fast and finished, instead of juggling five things slowly. You can reorder the queue whenever priorities shift. It’s how one senior person delivers like a team without the drop in quality.
How quickly do things get done?
Small requests (fixes, tweaks, a new page from an existing pattern) usually ship within a couple of business days. Larger pieces — a landing-page system, a dashboard, a redesign — get scoped with a timeline up front, so there are no surprises.
What stack do you work in?
Most marketing-web work: WordPress and HubSpot builds, custom frontend (HTML/CSS/JS, React where warranted), Figma for design, GA4 and Data Studio for analytics, Git-based deploys with code review and CI. If your stack differs, ask — the fundamentals travel.
How do we work day to day?
Async by default: I plug into your Slack, project tool, and repos like a teammate. Meetings only when they help. You’ll always know what’s in progress, what shipped, and what the numbers say — I send a plain-language monthly report.
Who is this not for?
Teams that need a full-scope agency (media buying, PR, brand strategy), 24/7 same-hour support, or 40 hours a week of one project. And if a junior VA could do your web tasks, I’d honestly be overkill — I’ll say so on the call.
Is there a contract or lock-in?
Care is month-to-month. Embedded starts with a three-month engagement — about how long it takes to properly learn your stack and start compounding — then rolls monthly with 30 days’ notice. And a 30-day fit promise de-risks the start: if either of us isn’t feeling it in the first month, we part immediately and cleanly, and you keep everything I’ve built. A simple agreement covers confidentiality and IP; everything I make for you is yours.
